Description

Get ready for a hilarious musical experience, ripped from the pages of Mo Willems' beloved, award-winning, best-selling children's books. Elephant and Piggie’s We Are In A Play will leave audiences doing the "Flippy Floppy Floory" dance all night long! An elephant named Gerald and a pig named Piggie are best, best, "bestus" friends, but Gerald worries that something could go wrong that would end their friendship. Piggie is not worried at all, because she and Gerald are invited to a party hosted by the Squirrelles. And so begins a day when anything is possible in this imaginative musical romp that playfully explores the true meaning of friendship. Presented by the Inaugural Cohort of Grand Rapids Civic Theatre's Young Artist Studio.

Dinner, playtime, and a show! Get your wiggles out at GRCM with a pre-show playtime in The Pigeon Comes to Grand Rapids!: A Mo Willems Exhibit. Enjoy hot dogs from our friends at One Stop Coney before heading next door for a production of Elephant and Piggie’s We are in a Play at Grand Rapids Civic Theatre.
