Description

The Local First Coffee Hour events are a casual opportunity to connect with member businesses, hear about our upcoming programs, and learn how to build an economy that puts people first. We host them monthly with the support of Bloom Credit Union.

Host highlight: Wealthy Theatre is an historic community theater operated by Grand Rapids Community Center. Programming is done by community members and includes film, live music, dance, theater, and more.

Coffee this month will be provided by Last Mile Cafe. They exist to change the narrative of coffee to be more sustainable, equitable and inclusive and to set an example for doing business better. Because they are a sustainability-focused business, we are encouraging participants to consider bringing their own mugs to fill!

Safety expectations: We’d like to continue meeting monthly, in-person for our Coffee Hour events. To safely do so, event attendees are expected to adhere to current CDC recommendations:

  • When indoors, masks remain on unless actively eating or drinking
  • Maintaining 6 feet of social distance between guests and/or respecting the color-coded comfort zone stickers provided to all guests by PFE
  • Adhering to frequent hand-washing and sanitizing practices

Local First will also provide hand sanitizer.

We hope you'll join us for good coffee and good conversation!
